Model 500 Series Miniature Hall Effect Joystick

These miniature Hall effect joystick controls are available either as stand alone devices for customer integration, installed in Ultra MSI Control Grips for a thumb-operated grip control or integrated into custom input systems and panels per customer requirements. Their small size and weight make them ideal solutions where precision control is required and joystick displacement is preferred but a larger device is not practical.

Model 501c Series Hall Effect Joystick

A two axis non-contacting precision displacement fingertip operated control which has revolutionized the HMI (Human Machine Interface) Industry by providing high performance and high reliability at low cost. Standard Model 501C joysticks produce analog output voltages proportional to angle of joystick vs. input voltage (digital outputs available). This Hall effect technology was first patented and introduced by Ultra MSI in 1998 (U.S. Patent No. 5850142). The Model 501C offers many benefits over traditional potentiometer and inductive joystick designs.

Model 510 Spring Return Pot

Provides smooth continuous control of rate in rotating displays and machines. The potentiometer wiper moves ±45° at maximum deflection and is centered on a 5K ohm infinite resolution element. It is conveniently mounted using a single hole to clear the 5/8-24 threaded bushing. Other resistance values and/or MIL-Spec potentiometers are available.

Model 521 Series Two Axis Joysticks

This basic two axis control utilizes a ball and socket joystick pivot with precision metal bails to provide smooth, low friction motion of the X and Y axis. Removable return-to-center detent springs, trim controls for fine adjustment, a round bright chrome bezel with mounting screws are standard.

Model 521 BP Two Axis Potentiometer Joystick
with Push Button Switch

This model has a boot for mounting surface sealing and a smaller boot at the switch to prevent moisture entry through the handle. The switch leads are brought through the handle and then out of the body, below the mounting surface.

Model 521 Z Three Axis Joystick

This control features a spring return-to-center twist knob on the joystick handle. A 5K ohm, 1/2 Watt potentiometer housed within the knob can be rotated ±45 degrees for the third axis.

Model 521 P with Push Button Control

This control is a Model 521 with a single pole, single throw, momentary push button function switch mounted in the joystick handle. The switch is rated at 1 AMP, 115 VAC.

Model 523 Series Single Axis Controls

This model is a single axis proportional joystick with spring return-to-center using a 5K ohm center tapped potentiometer whose electrical angle matches the mechanical angle of the joystick. Stay in place versions with direction switches.

Model 524 Series Two Axis Subminiature Joysticks

Has a smooth action and infinite resolution 1 Watt potentiometer. Our smallest displacement type joystick, it will fit in a space only 1 1/2 inches wide. The handle remains in position where set within a 90 degree wide cone.

Model 526 Series Two Axis Joysticks

Has spring return-to-center in both axes and is supplied with a metal bezel, mounting plate and dust cover.

Model 526 Z

A three axis version of the 526 unit, a 5K ohm, 1/2 Watt potentiometer housed within the knob can be rotated ±45 degrees for the third axis.

Model 531 Series Heavy Duty Contruction Joysticks

A two axis control with rugged all metal construction, environmental boot seal and high reliability conductive plastic, center tapped potentiometers. Options include direction or limit switches together with a finger operated switch in the joystick handle.
