The mobile hydraulics market overlaps many other market segments, including agriculture, off-highway, construction, mining and a variety of man-lift operations. This is the result of hydraulics manufacturers migrating up the "food chain" to offer the entire hydraulic system, including power and steering.

Joysticks are used to control mobile machine work functions and are available in single axis spring-return-to-center and dual axis spring-return-to-center configurations. The designs use non-contacting Hall sensor technology to detect and transmit position.
