Ultra MSI Awarded F16 Contract from Lockheed Martin

February 6, 2003: Ultra MSI was recently awarded an F16 simulation HOTAS order from Lockheed Martin in Akron, Ohio for the F16 Mission Training Centers (MTCs). This is part of a seven-year contract that Lockheed won in 1999 from the U.S. Air Force. MSI has delivered HOTAS for current MTCs located at Shaw AFB and Mountain Home AFB.

Each F16 pilot training system within an MTC simulates typical F-16 tactical formations and operations and can be linked through U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command's distributed mission training (DMT) system which consist of F15, F18, F22 and eventually JSF. In addition, other participants in simulators that can interact with the F16 MTCs will be AWACS aircraft and unmanned air vehicles (UAVs).

Ultra MSI also provides custom desktop F16 HOTAS with RS232 capability to Boeing who is a subcontractor to Lockheed for the desktop PC portion of the MTC.

Ultra MSI has contracts for F15 and F18 DMT simulators. Ultra MSI is the leading supplier of HOTAS to Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio who originated this innovative training concept for the Air Force and other military sectors such as the Navy (Pax River).
